Hafan Wen In-patient Treatment and Detoxification Centre

The North Wales Medical Trust built Hafan Wen under an initiative with the North Wales Health Authority. Hafan Wen is a purpose built detoxification and treatment centre, located in North East Wales on the campus of the Wrexham Maelor District General Hospital.

The in-patient service is managed by CAIS. Detoxification and rehabilitation programmes have been developed from both UK and USA current best practices and are based on the functional analysis of drinking and drug taking behaviour.

The programmes take close account of the patient's physical, psychological and social needs and aim to develop and consolidate the patient's motivation for maintaining change to adequately prepare the patient for a substance-free lifestyle.
